Cash machine locationsThere are two cash machines located on the Providence Sacred Heart campus. In the main tower the cash machine is on the L3 level just outside the cafeteria entrance.
You can also access the cash machine in the Doctor’s Building West Tower outside the Washington Trust Bank branch.

The Café is located on Lower Level 3 (L3) of the hospital. Soups, salads, sandwiches, beverages and other items are available between meal times, as is the coffee/espresso service. The Snack Bar, also on L3, is open 24 hours. Vending machines provide an assortment of food and beverages.
There is a change machine in the Snack Bar. An ATM is located on L3 for cash withdrawals. The cafeteria does not accept personal checks.
Family waiting areasFamily waiting rooms are located throughout the medical center. Each floor of the main tower has a small waiting room off the elevator lobby. The Children’s Hospital and Women’s Center also have a waiting room on each floor.
The Emergency Department has separate waiting areas for adults, and for families with children.
If you are waiting for a surgery patient, the family waiting room is located on the Main Floor in the Surgery Center area between the main tower and the Women’s Center. For pediatric surgery patients, the waiting room is located in the pediatric surgery center on the L1 Level.
In addition, there are two cardiac surgery waiting rooms on the L1 level. Follow the hallway just past the entrance to the Pediatric Surgery Center and signage will lead you to the Family Waiting Room and the Sky Bridge Waiting Room (near the sky bridge to the Providence Heart Institute).

The Outpatient Pharmacy at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital provides services to patients of the Providence ministries of Eastern Washington.
It is conveniently located in the main floor lobby of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. next to the Gift Shop.
Pharmacy hoursProvidence provides free wireless Internet access for patients and visitors. Please note: our network restricts access to certain websites due to explicit content or network security risks. If you do not have a phone, tablet or laptop but would like Internet access, please visit the Health Sciences Library in the Mother Gamelin Center.
The Medical Center’s laptop computers (found in most patient rooms) are for staff use only, and do not connect to the Internet.

What to bringIf you have been scheduled to have a procedure at Sacred Heart Medical Center, your doctor’s staff will likely provide specific instructions on what to bring.
General items you should bring for an overnight stay:

MedicationsAll medications you take as a patient at Sacred Heart Medical Center should be prescribed by the attending physician, dispensed by the hospital pharmacy and administered by a nurse. You aren’t allowed to administer your own medications – including over-the-counter and herbal supplements – and you shouldn’t keep medication in your room unless ordered by a doctor.
Why are we so strict about this? It’s for your protection – and so we can deliver the best medical outcome possible. We need to know exactly which medications you are taking so we can gauge how your body responds to them.
Please don’t bring valuables to the hospital. If you accidentally bring valuables to the hospital, send them home with a friend or family member. Note: Sacred Heart Medical Center is not responsible for lost items.
Meals & room serviceFor your convenience, a patient menu is located in your room, listing the options you have for meals and snacks. In some cases, you may receive assistance from a dietitian, who will help you select the types of meals approved by your physician.
If your guests would like a meal prepared, have them choose from the menu and call 509-474-7700 to place their order. (There is a fee for guest meals.)

A nurse will perform a pre-surgery interview to learn about your health history and medications, review your preoperation instructions and answer any questions you might have. If you have not been scheduled for this interview, please call 509-474-3190.
